A moment more
A moment less, each day
framed in time.
Today, buying time
from tomorrow,
day traders,
dealing in futures.
Minutes and hours,
how would we spend them
if we counted time
instead of money.
We say, Time is money.
But we never have the time
and we print the dollars when we need them,
but once time is spent, it’s gone.
No economy of time,
just the flow,
serene, implacable,
back into the mist
forward beyond imagination.
What’s a moment more,
or a moment less.
