One winter, I mostly walked between Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. i was the night donut man at the Dunkin Donut shop at the Ellsworth Triangle. I thought a lot that winter.
These days I walk 5 Ks each way between work and home outside Madrid in Spain. I am sure the early morning smokers outside the cerveceria think I am crazy talking to myself as I go by but I solve half the days problems before I get started.

Out on the Isle of Wight there is a bench up on Tennyson Down where the poet walked and pondered. The bench is inscribed with a poem by W.H.Auden.
Walking has pedigree and purpose. Plus you just never know what you will find.
