Mac n’ cheese. Who can sing the blues with a plateful of comfort? Who wouldn’t smile to come in out of the cold to be welcomed at the table and served thus? Who in our days of angst and anxiety when all appears to be so perilously close to being lost doesn’t long for a simple plate so brimming with fellowship? Amen and pass the gravy, sauce, salt, or ketchup — if that’s your thing. So raise you glass and call out, “Cheers, salud, and keep on truckin’.” We’ll all get there in the end.
