We live a click apart,
within the space of a heartbeat.
Your breath, a mist
on the other side of my mirror.
Your reach, sends ripples.
The surface shimmers.
Each small wave, a joy
lapping about my feet.
Endless flow in a sun-spangled sea
and a sadness within as I feel them recede.
