I work in Spain and if you add in unlimited sick leave, maternity and paternity leave, leave for weddings, bereavement, and moving. Then employees can determine the percent of time they will work with their job guaranteed when they come back to take care of child or a parent. The value just isn’t the individual above the organization (though as the head of the school, it can feel that way) it is family above loyalty to a boss.

And I haven’t even started to go on to health care. imagine, a private scheme with 0 deductible and no co-pay that costs only 70Euros a month to add a dependent… sound like I am dreaming? No, this is reality.

The way life could be.

There are taxes to support this but I, personally, am willing to pay for the common good and the quality of life it allows us all to share.
