I thought about your last lines, about changing the world for the better. Perhaps Henry Ford thought that way, freeing people, connecting them…. but lately the automotive industry seems to have focused on the car as an expression of ego and status and turned a blind eye to impact as cities morphed and air grew smoggy and all the rest we almost take for granted. We are in a period, if we are successful, of re-imagining and doing so with open eyes to consequences, connections, and quality of life. Perhaps the greatest financial winnowing and re-ordering in centuries is going on around the world.
