I read this and thought of Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. I hear echoes of Ender’s realization when the truth of the game is revealed and the the penitence he chooses. Thank you for holding up a mirror on our situation. We have created a massive social experiment with ourselves as the subjects. How we emerge is hard to say, there are some ugly bits and some sublime bits that we have seen so far. Though it may well be that our shield of invincibility will be revealed for a scrap of captain fantastic plastic wrap as the consequences start to roll in like a modern storm surge in the real mother’s storm.
cheers,
B
