I found this piece via Jessica Wildfire’s tweet. It struck home.
When we lose our voices we give it all away.
No matter our faults or transgressions,
love should never stacks them up against us.
We all got a junk drawer, attics, and closets, it is we where we,
as writers go,
where we need to go,
because what we make of what we find,
what we were dealt,
brings light and beauty to the world.
through the cracks the light gets in,
Leonard Cohen said it better:
“There’s a crack in everything, thats how the light gets in..”
