I appreciate the balanced approach and that you pose questions. People want answers rather than understanding the product of inquiry is more questions and ultimately choices. My sense is that, very much like the little old lady who swallowed the fly, we will tinker with systems that are bigger than our imaginations and create cascades of issues further down the line, all to buttress habits that are, in the end, unsustainable. Human innovation has worked that way, great ideas have had unanticipated consequences but once in motion, could not be stopped.
